It’s not often that I cover brand launches here. Heck, I hardly ever even respond to PR pitches (it’s real weird being on the other end of them, by the way). But once in a while, an impressive combo of imagery, product and story lands in my lap. Tracksmith fit the bill. Born and bred right here in Wellsley, MA, Tracksmith offers a small array of simplistic, handsome running gear. The brand takes its influence from the uniforms of the varsity track runners of yore, opting for deep colors and clean, white stripes rather than flashy materials and logos. Clocking in between $35 and $90, Tracksmith’s clothes are readily accessible for those most likely to wear it. Personally, I’m looking forward to day I run past someone in this gear on the esplanade, or better yet, at November Project.
In the wise words of Tracksmith Co-founder Luck Scheybeler, “We believe running deserves better.” We couldn’t agree more and look forward to seeing what these guys have in store for us down the road.
