As we head into the final day of November, your “no-shave-November” beard or Movember mustache is probably just about stepping into its prime. After weeks of not trimming, grooming or styling your manly facial hair, I expect it’s about as animalistic and primal as can be.
Given that timing, this felt like a good time to introduce our latest series: A Boston Blazer’s “Product of the Week.” This series will highlight one standout product each week from a brand that we dig, and think you will too. Some of these products are given to us, but we’ll only write-up those that we actually like ourselves. The others will be given as Christmas gifts to our unwitting friends.
In true no-shave fashion, the first product to make it into this series is the Brothers Artisan Beard Oil (B.A.O). Created by two (bearded) brothers, Owen and Baxter Shea, right here in Boston, this beard oil is designed to tame hair, protect skin and nourish beards while “attracting mates with an appreciation for superior facial hair.”
In their own words, the inspiration behind the brand is simple: “When we founds our beads longer, and our beds full, we decided it was time to bring our product to other worthy men.”
